Inspired by The Who: Keith Moon Football Shirt
Our The Who-inspired shirt takes its khaki colour from the finest of mod fashions, the classic fishtail parka. With its embroidered badge, we've taken inspiration from The Who's roundel logo and their penchant for arrows. Like the band, our fictitious team hails from Shepherd's Bush, and nods to one of their most popular songs, "Pinball Wizard", released in 1969.
Our main sponsor, VCB160, comes from the license plate on the bike in "Quadrophenia", based on The Who's 1973 rock opera of the same name. On the sleeves, we have another reference to a rock opera, this time in the form of a set piece from "Tommy"—a T shape in a sunburst motif. The other sleeve features the American Football helmets worn by the band on the cover of "Odds & Sods", an album of studio outtakes released in 1974.
On the back, we have the number 64 for the year of the band's formation, and Moon for their late drummer, and legendary wildman, Keith Moon. Finally, right at the bottom, we have a detour sign as featured on their album "WHO".
PLEASE NOTE: WE GET NEW STOCK OF THESE SHIRTS PRINTED ON AN ONGOING BASIS, SO IF YOUR REQUIRED SIZE IS CURRENTLY OUT OF STOCK PLEASE ORDER YOUR CHOSEN SIZE LISTED AS "PRE-ORDER - AWAITING STOCK". WE WILL THEN DISPATCH YOUR SHIRT AS SOON AS WE RECEIVE NEW STOCK (WHICH WILL USUALLY TAKE ANYTHING FROM A COUPLE OF DAYS TO 3 WEEKS, DEPENDING ON PRODUCTION).
