Inspired by Bottom: Richard "Richie" Richard Football Shirt
A football shirt tribute to Ade Edmondson and Rik Mayall's 90's anarchic comedy classic "Bottom". The kit design is for the imaginary pub team "Lamb & Flag AFC", the Hammersmith pub that the pair occasionally leave their flat to visit, with the embroidered badge loosely based on the club crest of QPR; Eddie's favourite team. The front sponsor is the logo of "Grrr Pour Homme", the aftershave Dave Hedgehog gives to the baby as a gift in the Christmas episode, while the sleeve sponsor is "Big Jugs"; the film that Eddie rents mistakingly believing it to be a porno.
On the rear of the shirt is the name "Richard" (after Richard "Richie" Richard) and the number 91, the year that the first series aired. At the bottom the words "Edie is grate" are written, similar to those sprayed on the wall of the flat when Richie asks him to make it look Christmassy. Below the neck the words "The Hammersmith Hardmen" appear - a nickname Richie uses for the pair - while the collar can be turned up to reveal a silhouette of Eddie and Richie in a typical pose.
This shirt is being produced by Sigur Sportswear exclusively for RedMolotov.
