Inspired by RoboCop: Alex James Murphy Football Shirt
Taking inspiration from the 1987 dystopian classic "RoboCop", our AFC Detroit Police football shirt is printed in police blue with a pattern based on Robocop's titanium and kevlar armour. The embroidered crest mimics the shape of a police badge and features the words "AFC Detroit Police" alongside a football. The main sponsor is "Omni Consumer Products", the mega-corporation which takes control of the Detroit City Police and are responsible for the RoboCop project.
The two sleeve sponsors are products that appear in advertising segments during the first and second films: the "Nukem" home game ("get them before they get you!"), and "MagnaVolt Lethal Response", the car security system from RoboCop II. On the rear of the shirt is the name "Murphy" (for Alex Murphy, the Detroit police officer who becomes RoboCop) and the number 87 for the year of the film's release (both in the famous metallic font used in the franchise), as well as a smaller OCP logo. At the bottom of the rear of the shirt are RoboCop's three prime directives: serve the public trust, protect the innocent, uphold the law.
PLEASE NOTE: WE GET NEW STOCK OF THESE SHIRTS PRINTED ON AN ONGOING BASIS, SO IF YOUR REQUIRED SIZE IS CURRENTLY OUT OF STOCK PLEASE ORDER YOUR CHOSEN SIZE LISTED AS "PRE-ORDER - AWAITING STOCK".
