Inspired by Rocky Balboa: Balboa Football Shirt
The football shirt of the Philadelphia Stallions; our tribute to what is possibly the best-ever series of sports films: the Rocky original trilogy. The shirt comes in yellow inspired by Rocky Balboa's iconic boxing robe from Rocky II, whilst the main sponsor is Mighty Mick's Boxing Gym, the gym run by Balboa's mentor, former bantamweight fighter Mickey Goldmill. The all-over pattern features a stallion head inspired by the one that appears on Rocky's robe. The embroidered badge is a nod to the protagonist's nickname ("The Italian Stallion"), the city of Philadelphia which is such a major part of the film, and another famous Italian marque; the sportscar manufacturer Ferrari.
The sleeve sponsors feature two businesses that appear in the original Rocky film; J & M Tropical Fish (where Rocky's love interest Adrian Pennino works) and Shamrock Meats Inc. (the meat packing business where Paulie - Adrian's brother and Rocky's best friend - works and whose logo appears on the back of his robe in the first film). The rear of the shirt features the name "Balboa" and the number 76 (the year of release of the original film), while at the bottom is a quote from Rocky from 2006's "Rocky Balboa" - "Every champion was once a contender that refused to give up".
This shirt is being produced by Sigur Sportswear exclusively for RedMolotov.
