Inspired by Blondie: Debbie Harry Football Shirt
We couldn't help but give our New York Atomics kit black and white stripes a la Blondie's 1978 album "Parallel Lines". The embroidered badge and team name draw their inspiration from the US single picture sleeve for "Atomic", whereon Debbie Harry poses in front of a mushroom cloud. Our main sponsor is "Call Me", taking typographic inspiration from the 1980 single cover. On one sleeve, we have the logo for New York City's iconic CBGB music club, where the band performed from 1974–77, having shows there every weekend for much of 1975. On the other, the Camp Funtime motif that was worn by Debbie Harry throughout the 70s, most notably in Manchester in 1977.
On the back, we have the name Harry, styled after the typography of Blondie's punk-inspired, ripped paper logo, and the number 74 for the year of their formation. Finally, at the bottom, the phrase "Die Young, Stay Pretty" from the song of the same name, styled in a typeface that echoes the Blondie logo on the 1979 album "Eat to the Beat" on which the song appears.
PLEASE NOTE: WE GET NEW STOCK OF THESE SHIRTS PRINTED ON AN ONGOING BASIS, SO IF YOUR REQUIRED SIZE IS CURRENTLY OUT OF STOCK PLEASE ORDER YOUR CHOSEN SIZE LISTED AS "PRE-ORDER - AWAITING STOCK".
