Inspired by Mad Max: Max Rockatansky Football Shirt
Our football shirt tribute to the original 1979 Mad Max film features an all-over print pattern based on the colours and markings of the Main Force Patrol police vehicles. The embroidered badge is inspired by the Main Force Patrol police badge, whilst the club name, Anarchie Road FC, is taken from one of the Australian Outback highways that the force patrols. The main shirt sponsor, "MFP" ("Main Force Patrol"), is also a nod to the cars in the film which feature the text on their sides.
On the right sleeve we have a sponsor's logo for Fat Nancy’s, a diner located on Highway 9 ("if you can't smell it, we ain't got it!"). The left sleeve features the badge worn on all MFP uniform sleeves. On the rear of the shirt we have the name "Rockatansky" (for Max Rockatansky; the main protagonist of the film franchise), and the number 8 (with a small "v", as Max drives a v8 Interceptor). The car itself makes an appearance below the neck at the back, alongside Max's police number: 4073. Finally, the bottom of the back of the shirt features the "Interceptor" text that appears on the rear of the Main Force Patrol police vehicles.
