Inspired by The Shining: Jack Torrance Football Shirt
Our tribute to the classic horror film and novel The Shining. In the 1980 film adaptation, Jack Nicholson famously played Jack Torrance, and it is his shirt that we have produced here. The shirt design features the repeating pattern that appears on the hotel's carpet, while the main shirt sponsor is the Overlook Hotel itself: the remote and haunted place which Jack agrees to be caretaker for over the winter. The embroidered badge features the club name "Sidewinder FC" - the small Colorado town which was the nearest settlement to the hotel - and design based on a map of the maze from the hotel grounds.
The sleeve sponsor is the logo of Calumet Baking Powder, a product that features regularly in the film, while at the bottom rear we have repeated and slightly varied iterations of a typewritten "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy"; another famous image from the film.
The name "Torrance" on the shirt back includes a stylised hatchet, whilst the number 42 famously features numerous times in Stanley Kubrick's film adaptation.
