Inspired by Pulp: Jarvis Cocker Football Shirt
A tribute to the music of Pulp, we have taken inspiration from the band's digital tour backdrop and it's neon colour scheme for the design of our Stanhope Road F.C. shirt. The team name is a reference to the road in Sheffield mentioned in the song "Babies" ("Well, it happened years ago, When you lived on Stanhope Road...", and we also have a nod to "Common People" in the "fags and pool" on the embroidered badge and "Disco 2000" in the year of formation. "Common People" also lends us our main sponsor, Rum & Cola.
Our sleeve sponsors are and E's & Wizz logo in the style of retro discount store, Kwik Save, and a deliriously pink version of the phone from the "This Is Hardcore" promo video. On the back, we have the number 78 for the year of Pulp's formation, and the name Cocker, above which are Jarvis Cocker's iconic glasses. Finally, at the bottom of the rear, we have a stylised image of the man himself, giving it two fingers.
PLEASE NOTE: WE GET NEW STOCK OF THESE SHIRTS PRINTED ON AN ONGOING BASIS, SO IF YOUR REQUIRED SIZE IS CURRENTLY OUT OF STOCK PLEASE ORDER YOUR CHOSEN SIZE LISTED AS "PRE-ORDER - AWAITING STOCK". WE WILL THEN DISPATCH YOUR SHIRT AS SOON AS WE RECEIVE NEW STOCK (WHICH WILL USUALLY TAKE ANYTHING FROM A COUPLE OF DAYS TO 3 WEEKS, DEPENDING ON PRODUCTION).
