The football shirt of the Walmington-on-Sea Home Guard, the famous Citizen Militia immortalised in the TV comedy "Dad's Army". The overall design of the shirt mimics the show's iconic opening sequence, with the Union Flag arrow swooshing across the shirt over a subtle outline of Britain. The main sponsor is Lance-Corporal Jones' family business, the town butchers. The design echoes the livery on Jones' delivery van, which the platoon adapted for use as a makeshift armoured vehicle with one specific difference: the strapline has been changed to Jones' infamous catchphrase.
The embroidered badge shows a Spitfire flying over the White Cliffs of Dover as Private Pike witnessed from the beach, wearing the scarf his Mum knitted and forced him to wear. The sleeve shows the insignia worn by Captain Mainwaring, including Home Guard shoulder titles, the CP1 Walmington Platoon patch and three Khaki Rank Pips to form the rank of Captain. The rear of the shirt features the name of Mother's Little Soldier and all-round "Stupid Boy" Private Pike, with the number 7 representing each of the core cast.
