Our Wish has been granted with our The Cure-inspired shirt, featuring scribbly eye artwork inspired by the band's 1992 album, "Wish". Our team name, Imaginary Boys Football Club, comes from the debut album "Three Imaginary Boys", and the design is drawn from the non-album single cover for "Boys Don't Cry", recoloured to match our shirt.
On one sleeve, we have a simplified version of the Friday I'm in Love single artwork, designed to match the Wish album artwork, and on the other, a line from "A Forest" ('Come closer and see'), presented in the same typographic style as the single name on its cover. In the same moody style as that cover, we've presented it on A Forest.
Our main sponsor takes inspiration typographically and lyrically from "Just Like Heaven", including the lyric 'you' and all of the refrains that follow it.
On the back, in the logo style used on their debut album and more recently, we have the name Smith for Robert Smith, and the number 76 for the year of the band's formation.
