Inspired by Pink Floyd: Roger Waters Football Shirt
It's not difficult to work out where the inspiration for our shirt's base design came from: the iconic 1979 Pink Floyd album, The Wall. Our embroidered badge is modelled after the album artwork for 1973's The Dark Side of the Moon. We chose our team name, The Lunatics F.C., in honour of the song "Brain Damage" from which the album gets its name. Our main sponsor is taken from a lyric in the song "Time", fashioned into a quasi company name and tagline. Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way...
On the sleeves, we're paying homage to the 1977 album, Animals. On one sleeve, the iconic pig, and on the other, our rendition of Battersea Power Station. The name Waters adorns the back of our kit, for Roger Waters, and the number 65 for the year of the band's formation. At the bottom, a tiny nod to another of the band's iconic album artworks: the Division Bell heads with line-art styling.
PLEASE NOTE: WE GET NEW STOCK OF THESE SHIRTS PRINTED ON AN ONGOING BASIS, SO IF YOUR REQUIRED SIZE IS CURRENTLY OUT OF STOCK PLEASE ORDER YOUR CHOSEN SIZE LISTED AS "PRE-ORDER - AWAITING STOCK". WE WILL THEN DISPATCH YOUR SHIRT AS SOON AS WE RECEIVE NEW STOCK (WHICH WILL USUALLY TAKE ANYTHING FROM A COUPLE OF DAYS TO 5 WEEKS, DEPENDING ON PRODUCTION).
