Inspired by Beastie Boys: Ad-Rock Football Shirt
The work of the Beastie Boys inspires our "Five Boroughs FC" football shirt. The embroidered badge's design is a nod to the Beasties' original logo, whilst the club name references their sixth studio album "To the 5 Boroughs". The front sponsor is the logo of the Volkswagen corporation, whose badges the band helped to repurpose as fashion items; much to the annoyance of any Golf owners in the late eighties.
The sleeve sponsors pay tribute to two of the Beastie Boys' most famous songs: on the left sleeve, we have the "Sabotage" logo from the TV show featured in the 1994 video of the single, while on the right is the logo of "Intergalactic Planetary" from their 1998 track.
On the rear of the shirt, we have opted for the name "Ad-Rock" and the number five (again, after "5 Boroughs"), while the shirt pattern features a silhouette pattern of the Manhatten skyline as a further tribute to the band's New York City roots.
PLEASE NOTE: WE GET NEW STOCK OF THESE SHIRTS PRINTED ON AN ONGOING BASIS, SO IF YOUR REQUIRED SIZE IS CURRENTLY OUT OF STOCK PLEASE ORDER YOUR CHOSEN SIZE LISTED AS "PRE-ORDER - AWAITING STOCK". WE WILL THEN DISPATCH YOUR SHIRT AS SOON AS WE RECEIVE NEW STOCK (WHICH WILL USUALLY TAKE ANYTHING FROM A COUPLE OF DAYS TO 3 WEEKS, DEPENDING ON PRODUCTION).
