Inspired by Hot Fuzz: Nicholas Angel Football Shirt
Paying homage to Hot Fuzz, the second film in Simon Pegg's "Three Flavours Cornetto" series, we present the shirt of AFC Sandford. The shirt pattern (black with white sleeves and chessboard detailing) is based on Sgt. Nick Angel's police uniform, whilst the rear of the shirt features his name, warrant number (19628A) and the number seven (the film was released in 2007). At the bottom is a swan motif, representing the stray swan that appears throughout the film.
The embroidered badge features the Sandford town crest and the motto "The Greater Good" in Latin underneath. On the front of the shirt the main sponsor, Sandford Citizen, is the name of the local paper, while the sleeve sponsor is "NWA"; the neighbourhood watch group that the town cult belong to.
