Our Muse-inspired Cydonia Knights football kit takes its design inspiration from the cover of the colourful 2009 album, The Resistance. We were presented with both the perfect team name and badge inspiration with the cover of the 2006 single Knights of Cydonia; our embroidered badge is complete with a horse and stars motif inspired by the artwork, and a heraldic shape - only right for the knights.
Our main sponsor is a nod to the band's most famous release, Supermassive Black Hole, in the style of their logo. On the sleeves, first, we have "Black Holes & Revelations", a lyric from the song Starlight in the typeface used on the single cover, and secondly, "Bury It, Smother It, Murder It", evoking the design for the single cover of Time is Running Out with its circular light.
We had to choose Bellamy for lead vocalist, guitarist, pianist, and lyricist Matt Bellamy, and the number 94 for the year of the band's formation. We've finished our design with a nod to Uprising: "We Will Be Victorious".
