Inspired by Miami Vice: James "Sonny" Crockett Football Shirt
In tribute to the classic 1980s crime drama Miami Vice, we have designed a football shirt in white to match Crockett's iconic Ferrari Testarossa . The Eighties design continues, with triangle accents and pink and light blue pastels, whilst the flamingo printed on one sleeve references the one seen in the show's opening credits. The main shirt sponsor, "Gold Coast Shipping Co.", is the fictional cover name on the building used by the Metro-Dade Police Department's Organized Crime Bureau (OCB).
The second sleeve features the sponsor "Bug Busters", the fake pest control company that Vice use as a surveillance vehicle, and the embroidered badge includes a flamingo and football, plus more Eighties triangles and colours. On the rear is the name (James "Sonny") Crockett, for one of the show's protagonists, and the number 84 (for the original year of broadcast). Elvis - Crockett’s pet alligator - also makes an appearance on the back.
