James Connolly Football Shirt
This exclusively designed football shirt has been created as a tribute to James Connolly: Irish republican, socialist and trades union leader. Designed in a green colour scheme with a geometric pattern gradually fading up the shirt, it features an embroidered badge showing the Starry Plough emblem taken from the flag originally used by the Irish Citizen Army (formed by Connolly with James Larkin in 1913 in order to defend workers of the Irish Transport and General Workers' Union (ITGWU) from attacks by the Dublin Metropolitan Police during workers' demonstrations). The front of the shirt features the Irish Republican slogan tiocfaidh ár lá ("our day will come") across the front where a sponsor logo would usually be. The rear of the shirt features the name "Connolly" and the number 16 (in reference to the Easter Rising of 1916 which Connolly led, and for his part in which he was executed later that year). Along the bottom of the back of the shirt is the slogan Éirinn go Brách ("Ireland Forever")
This shirt has been produced by Sigur Sportswear exclusively for RedMolotov.
