Inspired by Mad Men: Don Draper Football Shirt
What could be more fitting for a Mad Men-inspired kit than pinstripes? Don't answer that; it was rhetorical. With a New York-esque skyline, we chose Madison Avenue F.C. for our embroidered badge, paying homage to the show's setting and the real-life advertising industry hub.
Our main sponsor had to be Sterling Cooper in its final incarnation, with its iconic orange and gold logo. One sleeve sponsor takes the form of Lucky Strike, one of Sterling Cooper's larger clients and the cigarette brand smoked by the characters themselves. The other sleeve features Belle Jolie, a lipstick brand and another of Sterling Cooper's clientele. In the show, Peggy Olson both tests their products and writes their copy.
A nod to the opening credits appears at the bottom of the back of the shirt in the form of a falling, besuited man.
Finally, Draper for Don Draper in the style of the show's logo, and the number 19 for the number of mistresses he has over the course of the show, not including his wives.
This shirt is being produced by Sigur Sportswear exclusively for RedMolotov.
