Inspired by Joy Division: Ian Curtis Football Shirt
A football shirt paying tribute to iconic late 70s rock/post-punk/indie pioneers Joy Division. Our shirt features a pattern based on the CP-1919 pulsar that formed the basis for the band's most famous imagery: the cover of their 1979 debut album Unknown Pleasures. The embroidered badge is that of the fictional club "FC Warszawa" - an obscure reference to the David Bowie song "Warszawa" from which the band took their original name "Warsaw". The badge also features a modified version of the logo of Factory Records, the legendary label to which the band were signed.
The rear of the shirt features the name "Curtis", after the band's lead singer Ian Curtis, and the number 10; referencing the FACT10 serial number of the Unknown Pleasures album. The numbers also feature small factory logos, while the sleeve has a print of a Factory/Hacienda-inspired black and yellow chevron pattern. The front sponsor on the shirt is "Transmission" in reference to the band's first single and one of their most famous songs.
This shirt is being produced by Sigur Sportswear exclusively for RedMolotov.
