Inspired by The KLF: Bill Drummond Football Shirt
Inspired by the music and lore behind British electronic band The KLF. The embroidered badge takes the form of a sheep's face. It Throughout their career, the band used sheep noises in their songs, appeared in PR photographs with sheep as models, invited sheep as guests of honour for their film showing of The White Room in Germany, and of course, there was the notorious sheep incident at the BRIT awards. The shirt design itself takes its inspiration from the album cover for The White Room, with a nod to the band's inclination towards triangles in their graphics.
Our main sponsor takes the form of the sign on the front of the band's ice cream van. 'Welcome to Mu Mu Land,' it exclaims in a mixture of English and Russian. On one sleeve, we refence their burning of £1 million in a disused boathouse in 1994 with simple iconography. On the other, K2 Plant Hire Ltd, a fake company created by the band for a fake building project called The People's Pyramid.
We chose the number 23 as this is the most reoccurring number across the band's mythology, and the kit is complete with our version of the logo that appears on the side of their iconic Ford Timelord.
PLEASE NOTE: WE GET NEW STOCK OF THESE SHIRTS PRINTED ON AN ONGOING BASIS, SO IF YOUR REQUIRED SIZE IS CURRENTLY OUT OF STOCK PLEASE ORDER YOUR CHOSEN SIZE LISTED AS "PRE-ORDER - AWAITING STOCK". WE WILL THEN DISPATCH YOUR SHIRT AS SOON AS WE RECEIVE NEW STOCK (WHICH WILL USUALLY TAKE ANYTHING FROM A COUPLE OF DAYS TO 5 WEEKS, DEPENDING ON PRODUCTION).
