Man on the Moon Reading The Clarion Ceramic Mug
The Clarion newspaper was the brainchild of Robert Blatchford. Set up in 1891 as a weekly socialist publication The Clarion espoused a Socialism which was not theoretical but rather a way of life in which all would live in fellowship in their everyday work and leisure activities.
It led to its readers forming various Clubs, as part of a wider Clarion Movement, dedicated to leisure and educational pursuits. It survives today in the form of the London Clarion Cycle Club, the Clarion Cycling Movement, Clarion Choirs, the Bradford Cinderella Club and the last Clarion House in Nelson.
Proceeds from the sale of this design help to fund the London Clarion Cycle Club.
Printed on a dishwasher-safe ceramic mug.
