A football shirt tribute to the legend of music that is David Robert Jones; AKA David Bowie. The embroidered badge features the name "Brixton Rebels" after Bowie's place of birth and the song "Rebel Rebel. The shirt pattern itself is based on the lightning bolt make-up that he famously wore on the cover of 1973's Alladin Sane, whilst lightning bolts also appear elsewhere on the shirt including in a subtle all-over repeating pattern. The main sponsor and sleeve sponsors feature lyrics from Starman and Let's Dance respectively, with the opposite sleeve featuring an astronaut helmet referencing the Major Tom character.
On the rear we have opted for "Stardust" as the player name, after Bowie's Ziggy Stardust alter-ego, with the number 47 being his year of birth. The bottom rear of the shirt features a black star in homage to his final album.
